Welcome to Faye Ballard Physiotherapy and Pilates offering a range of Pilates Classes in your area.
I have been working as a Chartered Physiotherapist since 1999 and Teaching Pilates since 2001. I teach “modified pilates”, pilates exercises that have been adapted to suit your ability level, injury or ongoing condition and help you achieve your goals.
I currently offer sessions from beginner to advanced level. Sessions can be on an individual basis, small groups such as 2:1 and 3:1 and small classes. I work with clients from all abilities.
Being a Chartered Physiotherapist I have a passion for bringing Pilates to people who are recovering from injury or managing an ongoing problem. I frequently work with individuals with varying body aches and pains such as low back pain but also more complex problems such as chronic low back pain, Scoliosis, Hypermobility, Ankylosing Spondylitis and many more.
I have the privilege of working with pregnant ladies in my antenatal class and then often helping the same ladies with return to exercise after the birth of their babies. Having done these classes for a number of years, I feel committed to empowering mums to be and new mums improving their health.
If however, you are free from ailments and feel committed to maintaining and improving your posture, body awareness, flexibility, core stability and strength then I am also very committed to working with you. I find preventative exercise or exercise aimed at improving sports performance very exciting and rewarding.
If you would like to discuss your specific circumstances or if you are not sure if Pilates is right for you do not hesitate to contact me.
Your first session will be one-to-one session enabling you to familiarise yourself with the basic Pilates techniques. A postural analysis will also be performed alongside discussion around your goals and requirements.
Due to popular demand I have added an extra day at Pure Sports Medicine, in the City. This is a specialist clinic for rehabilitating sports injuries of both recreational and elite athletes. The clinic has a host of very experienced clinicians from a variety of backgrounds and offers a unique opportunity for us to share our specialist knowledge to help the client realise their goals. Pilates is used as both a form of rehabilitation, return to sport, sports conditioning and prevention. Mat and equipment based one to one Pilates is available as well as classes. I use my specialist knowledge to create programmes that are sympathetic to the individuals needs and or pathology.
I look forward to working with you!
